Carousers far and wide gathered to celebrate to the life of Lemmy and the launch of The Carouser’s 8th Issue – The Idol Issue.
Attendees were given the brand new edition of the magazine and the very first batch of Motörhead Beer Röad Crew. One of the first four cases of beer was shipped down to Nambucca, London from Newcastle especially for The Carouser -for which we are eternally grateful. Röad Crew’s Simon Ritson told us that ‘it’s never been drank before’. The beer is brewed in collaboration with Cameron’s Brewery and endorsed by the band. Road Crëw officially launches on the 16th of December and our thoughts on the beer will be published shortly.
The beer was also enjoyed on the night by Jody Turner from Rock Goddess and MetalTalk-Lord Steve Göldby. According to MetalTalk, Steve said, “Being given the honour of pouring and drinking the very first bottle of Motörhead Road Crew beer to be publicly consumed, and from the official glass too, might just be the most special thing that has ever happened to MetalTalk and the words to describe what an honour it was just don’t exist.”
As the drink flowed, London’s best Ozzy Tribute band Ozzy OzzSpawn hit the stage, fiercely bashing out the classic Ozzy tracks. One spectator Terry Townsend commented, “He looks the spit of Ozzy! This is just like watching the real thing!”
It seemed a shame for the night to end but the party doesn’t stop there. We’ll be throwing another party for our next issue in June. For now, grab a copy of The Idol Issue and read exclusive interviews from Rock Goddess, Lita Ford, Scott Gorham and more.
