Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
Fans of Yellowstone have been given bad news before the show’s midseason finale this weekend.
Seven episodes of Season 5 have already been shown on Paramount +. After a short break for the holidays, Episode 8 will be shown on January 1. But who knows when the show will come back after that?
Piper Perabo, who plays Summer Higgins on the show, told TV Insider that the second half of the fifth season hasn’t even been filmed yet.
“A lot is on the way. Things are in motion, said Perabo. “I can’t wait to return to the second half of the book to find out what happens.

“I only know what transpires up until the midseason finale’s final second, and I have no idea what happens when we return….
“I believe you can tell that things are deteriorating rapidly since [the seventh episode] does not conclude at the fair, but rather with him practicing his speech.
“And Taylor is very good; if you’re paying attention, he’ll tell you where the trouble is coming from,” she said. “I think the fact that he ends with that scene is telling you something if you’re paying attention.”
Fans of Yellowstone have a lot to do, especially since the prequel series 1923 started airing in early December.
The prequel is set in the same world as Yellowstone and stars Harrison Ford and Dame Helen Mirren. It continues the epic story of how the Dutton Family moved to Montana a hundred years ago.

Recently, showrunner Taylor Sheridan said that he came up with the idea for 1923 because Paramount boss Bob Bakish thought that 1883 would go on for a second season.
The writer told Deadline, “I know [Paramount] reads the scripts, but they don’t read scripts, so when they saw the last episode of 1883, I don’t think they comprehended what had just transpired, even though I made it very plain from the very beginning.”
“I heard that when Bob Bakish saw it, he said, “Wait a minute, Elsa dies! All of them die? What will we do in the second season?’ I said there won’t be a second season. They’re like, There better be a second season, because we already bought it. I’m seated here thinking, “Guys, everybody’s dead.”
He said, “They desired a meeting to discuss how Sam Elliott survived his suicide. By definition, it is not something that can be endured, and who would want to witness that? So, I said, “I’ll take another look through the window, and I sat there and attempted to do so.”
Yellowstone Season 5 airs on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada, and episodes are available for streaming the next day in the United Kingdom and Australia.
