Luke Grimes is both an actor and a singer. He plays Kayce Dutton on the hit TV show Yellowstone, and he just signed a deal with UMG Nashville and put out a single called “No Horse to Ride” to start his own music career.
Grimes was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, January 3. He told Fallon that he is working on an album. The artist said that he starts recording in February and that he thinks the set will come out near the end of March.
Grimes says that he doesn’t know how the current story arc of the show will end. He says, “I think some of the actors know how it ends.” “Some have been told, some haven’t.”
He also said that he doesn’t want to know how the show ends and that Taylor Sheridan, who helped make Yellowstone, doesn’t want him to know. “I don’t think the writer of our show, Taylor, wants me to know either. I don’t know, but it could change how you do or play something. And anyway, it’s kind of fun to do it this way. It kind of reminds me of life.”
Fallon also asked Grimes to talk about his character, Kayce Dutton, because many Yellowstone fans have compared him to Michael Corleone from The Godfather.
“Yeah, that’s kind of a theme, but we’ll have to wait and see. I think that’s what we’re all waiting to see: can he step up and be a man and do what needs to be done to help the family keep the house? I think that’s what we’re all watching to find out.”
In November 2022, Yellowstone Season 5 started airing, and 12 million people watched at the same time. Season 5 of Yellowstone is on a break in the middle of the season. It will come back this summer. In the meantime, in 1923, a new prequel to Yellowstone has come out. It shows what happens to the Dutton family during Prohibition and the Great Depression.
