“Yellowstone” is one of the few scripted shows to make the list of the best TV shows of 2022. The first half of its fifth season will end in January 2023. In the streaming era, the show’s success has come from being able to tap into a genre that not many shows do anymore: the Western. Taylor Sheridan‘s drama is really addicting, especially for people who like the cowboy way of life because it has romance and soap opera elements.
“Yellowstone” has also made a group of memorable characters, many of whom come and go throughout the series. Every season brings the main characters new friends, enemies, and romantic interests. And Season 5 has been no different, with Piper Perabo coming back as John Dutton’s girlfriend Summer and Wes Bentley’s Jamie Dutton getting involved with Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri).
But one of the sweetest new relationships is between young ranchhand Carter (Finn Little) and Halie (Orlie Gottesman). Entertainment Weekly described Halie as “a confident, fun, and outgoing girl who is drawn to Carter.” Gottesman, who made her first appearance in Episode 6 (“Cigarettes, Whiskey, a Meadow, and You”), has talked about what it’s like to be on one of the most popular TV shows.
On Her First Day On The Set, Orli Gottesman Was “Really Nervous”
Gottesman talked to Taste of Country in November 2022 about what it’s been like for her to work on “Yellowstone.” When the actress found out she got the part of Halie, she was on vacation, so she didn’t have much time to prepare. She said, “It was more to make sure I wouldn’t break character and freak out because I was with so many cool people.” She was able to keep her cool most of the time. She joked that she would just have her freakouts between takes.
She also said that on her first day on set, she was “Really, Really Nervous” and that it was hard for her to even get out of the car. “I was freaking out for sure. Everything went very well. The whole team making the movie is so nice. I mean, great talking with all of them. It went pretty smoothly, “she said.
Gottesman also talked about how easy it was for him and Australian actor Finn Little, who played Carter, to get along. She said, “He’s great at keeping up a conversation.” “I love the way you talk. It’s just different. I’m not always around that. I liked it.”
Even though Gottesman wouldn’t say how many episodes she’d be in during Season 5 or if she’d be back for Season 6, it’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing more of her in the future.
