Hello, You. You may be here because you are curious about the upcoming season of one of Netflix’s most popular thriller programs. Because you always think ahead, go above and beyond, and are always on top of your game. Because of this, we like you. Well, get ready for more adventures and murders committed by Joe Goldberg, er, Professor Jonathan Moore, because the new season is almost here.
Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) was hiding on the streets of Paris the last time we saw him. This demonstrated that he had fled the country after murdering his wife Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), sending his child away, and faking his own death. You know, typical Joe Goldberg behavior.
All signs pointed to him going to Paris to find his librarian crush, Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle), who found out the truth about his sick, murderous tendencies in the Season 3 finale. Now, new details about the next season, like a new love interest (obsession), location, and more, are becoming clearer.
Here’s what we know about You Season 4.

You Season 4: Trailer
On January 9, Netflix released the Official Trailer for Season 4 Part 1, which gave us a two-minute and thirty-second look at what to look forward to in the new season. It looks as juicy as ever, and Joe’s new “friends” have a lot of glitz and glamour. Joe has a new identity in London, and it looks like he’s trying to change from the bad guy he used to be. This time, He is the one being followed.
From what we can tell, the season will be like what Penn Badgley said it would be in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: “The tone is the same, but there is a change in the way it is written… We’re almost changing the type of music a little bit. I think it works, too.” Netflix says that the genre is a whodunit murder mystery, which makes sense.
Even though the Season 3 finale showed Joe in Paris, Badgley says that Season 4 will be filmed in London because it’s cheaper to do so. However, some of the seasons will take place in the City of Love.
The fun date announcement also included a video updating fans on what Joe has been doing since we last saw him and introducing us to a new pool of prospective victims and suspects in his orbit now that he has relocated to the United Kingdom. Joe has worn more than just his signature baseball cap in the past. Joe began his work as a librarian, but he now holds a doctorate. Professor Jonathan Moore is Joe’s new name in London, which is also his new alias.
