It took more than two years for Netflix to release season 2 of Black Summer, and we still don’t know what will happen with season 3 of the Z Nation prequel. We’d like to see a third season of Black Summer on Netflix, but there isn’t much news and the ratings aren’t good, so it’s likely that there won’t be one.

Black Summer got a lot better in its second season than it did in its first. If there’s one thing Black Summer keeps doing well, it’s making sure that every zombie encounter is scary and every fight with another survivor is tense and nerve-wracking.
Has Netflix Decided To Bring Back Black Summer For A Third Season?
Black Summer season 2 came out on Netflix almost six months ago, but we still don’t know what will happen next with the horror show.
What season 2 of Black Summer lacked was popularity in English-speaking countries like the United States and the United Kingdom.
Even though Black Summer was in the top ten on U.S. TV between June 17 and July 2, 2021, Netflix’s new way of viewing the top ten has taken it out of the top ten between those dates. It has been replaced by shows like CoComelon, Sweet Tooth, and Newly Rich, Newly Poor.
Globally, the show didn’t make it into the top ten. This means that in its second and third weeks, Black Summer season 2 couldn’t beat Lucifer season 3, which was watched for a total of 9,550,000 hours.
FlixPatrol says that the show quickly dropped out of the top 10 charts around the world. This is important because most of the shows that will be canceled in 2021 have not been in the top 10 for 30 days.
In the United States, the show was in the top 10 for 12 days, but in the United Kingdom, it was there for 14 days.
One great thing about the show is that actress Jamie King wants there to be a third season. She told the express that she has some ideas for season 3 and that she can’t wait to get into the writers’ room. But she has also said things that make it sound like a third season could be the last.
What Can We Expect From Black Summer Season 3?
The ending of season 2 of Black Summer raised a lot of questions for season 3.
Was That…Lance!?
At the end of season 1, Lance was running away from a small group of zombies, and we never found out what happened to him. No one was really expecting him to come back in the second season, but he did, and we finally found out what happened to him.
After he let a pregnant woman into his car, she tricked him and opened the door on the driver’s side. This made it possible for the man Lance didn’t stop for to get in and shoot him in the neck. The two people who were trying to steal the car crashed with Lance’s blood all over the dashboard. This led to a dramatic chase between Lance, who had become a zombie, and the person who killed him.
It’s too bad we didn’t get to see more of Lance, but it’s great that he’s back and we can finally find out what happened to him.

Where is The Plane Taking Sun?
Sun was the only one of the survivors who made it to the airstrip to get on the plane. Even after talking with the pilot, it’s still not clear where he’s going. We know that the pilot has to stop to refuel, and there’s no guarantee that Sun and the pilot will be able to take off again.
Will Rose Survive?
Rose used the flare gun to blow up the fuel barrels behind Ray during their dramatic fight, but the explosion hurt both of them. Rose couldn’t get on the plane because her leg was hurt. She was ready to die and be left behind so she could see Anna get on the plane, but her daughter decided not to get on and came back to her.
Anna was able to find a car, but when she got back to Rose, it looked like she was thinking about what to do next. This made us wonder what would happen to Rose.
Anna has shown that the zombie apocalypse has hurt her mental health in a big way. Even though it’s very unlikely that she would leave Rose to die, the fact that Anna saw her leave Spears to die months ago still sticks with her.
Rose and Anna want Mance to join them.
Mance took on the small group of zombies almost by himself and didn’t get hurt. Anna needs all the help she can get because Rose is hurt and she needs to take care of her.
Will Mance Join Rose and Anna?
Ray was hurt in the explosion, just like Rose, and he might be in worse shape than Rose because some of the other survivors beat him up.
If Ray stays alive and can change how he acts, he would be a huge help to the group. But if he and Rose have too many bad feelings toward each other, it could set them up for more fights in the near future.
Ski-Lodge
Since the plane is no longer a good choice, the ski lodge is the best place for the survivors to go. The lodge has enough comfortable beds for everyone, as well as enough food, fuel, and water to last for more than a year.
The lodge is hard to defend, which is the main problem for anyone who stays there. Because there are so many doors and windows, it’s easy for anyone, even zombies, to get in.
The lodge is far enough away from other people and zombies that there won’t be many of them either. But it is still a huge risk.

When Can We Watch The Third Season of Black Summer on Netflix?
The First Season of Black Summer came out in 2014, and the Second Season came out in 2016.
If the third season is like the first two, the next season might not come out until 2023, which is a long time to wait for subscribers. Black Summer Might Not Be Back Until August 2023 At The Earliest. All of This, of course, Depends on Whether or Not the Show Is Renewed.
