For the first time since 2015, applications are open for underground busking licences.
The TFL are working with the Mayor’s ‘Busk In London’ Programme and Yamaha Music London to host auditions for their most sort after licence. Competition is high for these slots. Millions of people take the underground every week. The auditions are taking place all over London in live music venues and the underground.
The licence will grant buskers access to one of the underground’s 35 official pitches. Overall the underground offers 1,800 performance slots per week. All types of instruments are accepted, but won’t be allowed on all pitches.
To apply you have to upload of a performance close to what you will be doing on the underground before August 14th. You can find the application here. Good Luck!
